Is Your Investment Strategy Outdated?

The classic investment approach of 60% stocks and 40% bonds has long served as a benchmark strategy for investors. The 60/40 portfolio, which was established in 1952, has seen little change over the last 70 years.

The challenges of the strategy were well documented in 2022 as stock and bond returns were both significantly negative for the year. In 2023, returns were positive for both stocks and bonds, but so was the correlation.  So does the 60/40 truly offer efficient diversification?

Through our process at James Walter Wealth Management, we bring institutional-grade wealth management to individual investors.
